| Application | YIHOO UV-531 is a high-performance benzophenone-class ultraviolet (UV) absorber, chemically designated as 2-hydroxy-4-n-octanoxy-benzophenone. At room temperature, it presents as a pale yellow needle-like crystalline powder. As a highly efficient anti-aging additive, it exhibits strong absorption of ultraviolet light in the 270–340 nm range—the key UV band that triggers polymer degradation and aging. This product features a comprehensive set of superior properties including low coloration, non-toxicity, excellent substrate compatibility, low migration tendency, and excellent processability. It is widely applicable to a broad spectrum of polymer materials such as PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, acrylic glass, polypropylene fibers, and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers. In addition, it delivers excellent light stabilization effects for dry phenolic varnishes, alkyd varnishes, polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy and other air-drying coating systems, as well as automotive topcoats, powder coatings, polyurethane products, and rubber articles. The recommended dosage ranges from 0.1% to 0.5% by weight relative to the target material. | ||
