  UV1084, with the chemical name 2,2'-thiobis(4-tert-octylphenol) n-butylamine nickel (II) , is a high-purity light green crystalline powder. It features a content of ≥99.00% and volatiles ≤0.80%, ensuring stable and reliable quality. The product is fully compatible with polyolefin systems and exhibits excellent compatibility with PP artificial turf raw materials, with minimal migration or blooming during processing, making it suitable for large-scale production.

  As a multifunctional additive, UV1084 breaks the limitations of traditional single-function stabilizers by combining both light stabilizer and antioxidant functions—a core advantage for outdoor turf applications. Artificial turf laid outdoors for extended periods is continuously attacked by UV radiation and oxygen, which degrade the polypropylene molecular structure, leading to yellowing, cracking, and loss of mechanical strength in the grass fibers. UV1084 provides dual protection against photo-oxidation and thermo-oxidative aging, preserving the mechanical properties of the fibers and significantly extending the service life of outdoor turf, keeping the field in excellent condition over time.

  For application scenarios involving frequent disinfection and pest control treatments, UV1084 offers outstanding resistance to pesticide acidity and sulfur fumigation. When exposed to acidic disinfectants or sulfur-based fumigants, the stabilizer’s structure remains intact, continuously protecting the grass fibers and effectively preventing discoloration and accelerated aging during routine maintenance. This makes it ideally suited for high-frequency disinfection environments such as sports fields, parks, and gardens.

  On the production side, UV1084’s excellent thermal stability with stands high-temperature processes such as extrusion, drawing, and forming of PP turf. Even under conventional high-temperature production conditions, the stabilizer does not decompose or lose effectiveness, maintaining consistent activity throughout processing. This ensures uniform quality across batches and reduces defect rates, making it compatible with mainstream artificial turf production equipment and processes.

  In addition, the product exhibits strong chelating effects, which improve the dyeing uniformity and color fastness of the grass fibers, eliminating issues such as uneven coloring, floating colors, and fading. The result is vivid, long-lasting turf colors with enhanced visual appeal. Furthermore, UV1084 is highly compatible with various light stabilizers and UV absorbers, enabling significant synergistic effects when used in combination—achieving 1+1 > 2 in overall protection. This helps manufacturers streamline formulations and control production costs effectively.

  To ensure optimal performance, we have established standardized usage guidelines based on product characteristics: during compounding, the powder should be thoroughly mixed with PP raw materials and masterbatch, with proper moisture prevention and strict control of addition ratios. Under high-temperature processing, material residence time in the barrel should be minimized, and equipment should be cleaned regularly to prevent cross-contamination. When blending with other additives, strong acid or alkali systems should be avoided, and multiple additives should be introduced in stages. Pilot trials are recommended before full-scale production to fine-tune the formulation based on the specific service environment, maximizing product performance.
