Polypropylene (PP) artificial turf features light weight, excellent wear resistance and wide applicability, and is extensively used in landscape greening, sports venues, municipal projects and garden construction. However, polypropylene is inherently poor in ultraviolet resistance. When exposed to outdoor environments for a long time, it will undergo photo-oxidative aging under the combined effects of sunlight, high temperature, rainwater and air.

Meanwhile, it rapidly captures active free radicals generated during material aging and blocks oxidative degradation reactions, fundamentally slowing down discoloration, yellowing, embrittlement and pulverization of turf filaments. Apart from outstanding weather resistance, UV-1084 also boasts excellent process adaptability. It features high thermal stability, which fully meets the requirements of high-temperature extrusion and wire drawing processes for PP turf filaments without interfering with existing production procedures. In addition, it has low volatility, low migration, excellent extraction resistance and no blooming phenomenon. It can maintain stable protective performance even under long-term exposure to wind, sun and rain erosion.
UV-1084 presents excellent compatibility with polypropylene resin, and will not affect the original mechanical properties and hand feel of turf filaments. It is widely applicable to landscape turf, sports turf, colored turf filaments and various outdoor polypropylene fiber products. A typical addition dosage of 0.1%~0.5% can deliver prominent anti-ultraviolet aging effects.
